About the author
Donald H. White, Ph.D., is a chemist from Richmond, Ca. and a graduate of John F. Kennedy High School, located on Richmond’s Southside in the heart of the San Francisco Bay Area. Dr. White earned his bachelor’s and master’s in chemistry and his PhD in Material Science & Engineering from the historic Tuskegee University.
While a student at Tuskegee, he was a part of one of the largest multidisciplinary consortia funded by The National Science Foundation: The Center for Sustainable Nanotechnology (CSN). In The Center, he was able to collaborate with researchers from Johns Hopkins, Wisconsin, and Minnesota Universities
Dr. White has received awards from: Emerging Researchers National Conference, Alabama Academy of Science, and Joint Annual Research Symposium.
Dr. White’s passion in research has led him into his mission of STEM education under the trade name DaChemist. He goes into the public-school system to teach kids in middle and high schools the importance of chemistry following his mantra: “You’re A Chemist Too!”.
